| It's a Classic but tough trek to the homeland of the Sherpas.
In the higher reaches of Solukhumbu
Mt. Everest(8848m-29,028 ft.) lovers majestically in front of your eye often above the clouds.
Encircled in Sagarmatha National Park of Eastern Nepal, it's the central point to feel and see most of
the eastern Himalayan peaks including: the Everest, Lhotse, Amadublum and Numbur and others. Some of the
popular Monasteries like Thupten Choling Monastery near Junbeshi and the famous Tengboche
Monastery a day walk above Namche Bazzar are popular monasteries along the route. There are also
some magnificent glacial lakes near Gokyo. There is no need of trekking permit but one must pay Rs.1000.00/per person to the Department of
National Parks as a National Park fee as one passes through Jorsale. |
