Kailash Pilgrimage
21 May - 16 June
27 days/26 nts from USD ### per person

Highlights:
  • The Potala Palace in Lhasa
  • Drive across spectacular Tibetan Plateau
  • Walk the "kora" of sacred Mount Kailash
Pilgrimage to the Center of the Universe.
Mount Kailash (22,028 feet/6,714m) is the holiest mountain in the Himalayas - significant for Buddhists, Hindus, Jains, and Bon followers. Performing a circumambulation of the holy mountain - a Hindu parikrama and a Buddhist kora -washes away the sins of one lifetime. Fly into Gongar airport and visit Lhasa, the Forbidden City. Then drive westwards through the Tibetan plateau to holy Lake Mansarovar, and on towards Mount Kailash, where you will doubtless travel the well-worn pilgrim trail with many devotees as this is the holy month of Saga Dawa.
Lodge in hotels upto Shigatse, then camp with excellent services provided by our Nepali staff to and from Kailash. Return to Kathmandu via the Friendship Highway.
